...and here I am typing away on a MacBook Air. Funny how your needs and desires change over time. Its convenience that atters now, not raw power.
Odd too to be coming back to 43Things after three years. Did it ever take off? 4 years ago

I got a macbook pro instead. It is great. There is a lot of software for it and the software writers that target Mac OS X seem more innovative. 5 years ago

Sleek, sexy, and a matching OS. I’d certainly love one. With Apple moving to Intel I’m doubting a lot of people are going to be rushing to buy the older models, and though I would certainly like to pick one up I seriously doubt that I will be getting one until they move chipsets. Apple computers are way too expensive for the limited use I have for them to rush out and buy something that the company is taking a huge step away from. 7 years ago

I kind of wish I had gotten the Sony Vaio (despite the cover being a bit flimsy). Truth is, I don’t use my laptop much anymore so it really doesn’t matter about the ruggedness or the weight. The Powerbook is nice – but I don’t like the metal coverings and I’m just not used to the Apple interface. I guess I still prefer Windows, despite its crashes.
And besides, my Powerbook OS X (bought Aug 2004) wouldn’t work with my sister’s new iPod Shuffle – was too old or something. What’s up with that? 7 years ago

You simply have not experienced a computer until you’ve broken free of Windows and gotten a sleek, sexy PowerBook. 8 years ago

Need some hints and tips for creative ways to save! A 50p “Powerbook tax” on my morning becon & egg roll purchase from Ali’s snack bar isn’t going to get me there quick enough. A £5 “cashpoint tax”? will improve matters. 8 years ago
