The block around my neighborhood is exactly 1 mile. :-) (I just google mapped it). I will be running that every day. Maybe with an increase of times as I progress. My workout plan will start with this, as well as pole dancing and pilates.
I will run in the mornings, do pilates for cool down, and then dance with sepearte warm-up, cool-down in afternoon.
I am recommended to intake only 1200 calories/day and will start recording these amounts on my-calorie-counter.com

So I have been thinking about the whole exercise thing…which is not saying much ( i mean i have to get off the sofa right?) but i would beg to differ. Now I am figuring out how I want that program to look..do I join the gym? use the weights and tapes i have here at home? is that a cop out? will i go the gym? In the past year, i have done NO exercise program of any type. My body is flab. I know that it is imperative to my psycholigical well-being that I do something….and I think I would have more success with the gym route. For some reason, if i exercise at home, i dont think it counts! Nuts eh?

So I whine about getting older, getting flabbier and feeling like a beached whale most of the time…and what do I do about it? Nothing. Well that stops today. I am going to start an exercise program. Again.
And stick to it till at least march break.

Wow! Dave and I started an exercise program near the end of last summer. We were just getting too fat for our own clothes.
I’m happy to report, since then…I’ve lost nearly 40 lbs., gone down almost 2 sizes!
Still lots more to lose, but I’m back to where I feel comfortable. It’s so great. No more getting out of breath on the stairs. No more tight pants. I feel better, look better, and am doing more than ever. We’re up to 30 minutes on the elliptical – that’s about 2.15 miles – I run/walk a mile – EZ! I can’t say how much this one thing has impacted my life. DO IT!

yep. I’m happy with the “program” I’ve started. Since it’s officially scheduled into my days I figure it’s completed the way I imagined it. Yay for being healthy and having a rad body!!!

Still Going...

Last week, I exercised SIX times!! Yay, me!! I’m trying to do what Drs. Oz and Roizen suggest: work out seven days a week. I just didn’t feel like doing it yesterday, which is probably pretty bad. But, still, I think six times is fantastic and I’m quite happy with myself. :o)
I write about my weight loss/exercising experiences on my blog, so if you’re truly interested in what I’m up to, feel free to check it out http://nicoleww.blogspot.com/

I’ve been doing really well with this, actually. Last week I walked on the treadmill four times (and I was sick with the stomach flu two days). Not to bad, huh? I walked again yesterday, and I’m planning to do it today as well. I actually really enjoy it. It’s relaxing and gives me energy.
Yay!
After I’ve been doing this for thirty days, I’m going to mark it “done.”

I would say I’ve started exercising but not a program per say. I’m officially a YMCA member now (instead of just sneaking in haha) and I must say I’m pretty dang impressed with my improvement in the short time frame I’ve been working out. It’s amazing how quick you can get stronger and build endurance! I have been marking improvement by how fast I get across the “rock wall” and how hard it is for me at the end of my workouts. I’m getting pretty rad. Not too long before I can graduate from the special kids rock climbing section to something more difficult! haha Friday we went climbing and still my freakin fear of heights is a struggle. I still attacked the silo…I mean I didn’t let it stop me from climbing but it’s not comfortable. Bouldering is so much fun though. I just suck cause I have no muscles…but soon…very soon…plus I need to cut my fingernails…I’m no longer in an office so it’s not quite as important for them to look good. I would say my favorite new thing I’m working on is this goal! I love working out with Cassie, Nicole and mom. It has been a super fun way to hang out and it isn’t just sitting, eating and talking! Especially with it being winter, it feels great to be active! So rock on. I’m pretty close to accomplishing this goal. I just need to hold myself to so many times per week…blah blah blah.
