    I don’t know anyone who died in the Vietnam War, and actually I’m not sure that I even know a single person that served in Vietnam. I visited the memorial wall just out of curiosity as an observer (see the photo I took), like most people I saw on the day I went. I read some of the names (and there are so many names), and I can’t really say that I felt that connected to them but I just thought about how significant is the cost of war. I did see a few people searching the names carefully trying to locate their loved ones, and that was kind of moving…

    My emotions ran high as the long lines of names went on seemingly forever. I was touched by the mementos left—flowers, letters, tokens.

    Really makes you appreciate those who have fought for our country…amazing that so many people lost their lives on principal. Bless them all!
