improve my credit

so I can use it for traveling and hotel reservations. It will also help me to build better credit.

I was denied for a high-end credit card recently, so I have decided to work on improving my credit.
Today, I pulled 1 of my credit reports using http://www.annualcreditreport.com and pulled my credit score using Credit Karma.

My next step is to join a Credit Union and apply for one of their credit cards. This will be a long, long process.

I want to prove that I’m a trustworthy consumer!

The end of March, I will order my free report. To see my progress. My goal is to have at least a score of 700. Any suggestions?

I’m going to try to pay off my school loans. It’s not much $4000. I have to order my free credit report, and then see how much debt i’m really in.

My goal once I improve my credit score is to BUY A HOUSE…

I started with a budget at the end of last year…one which will cover the entire year of 2009. I have been sticking to it for the most part(for the most part because there are always unforseen expenses which arise – January were only small change expenses =).
My GOAL for this year is to pay off the only two credit cards I have open and my car (although this one is not under my name and does not affect my score…but it is my biggest expense). In this budget I entered the payments for these and it is NOT the minimum required….in fact some months I will be sending 3-4 times the minimum ($1,000, instead of $250 :-)
TODAY I decided to get my FREE credit report….I got it from two of the three reporting agencies, the other I had gotten last april (you can only get them free once every 12 months). Since these sites do not give a credit score I went to My FICO and actually paid a year subscription to monitor my score….I even updated my budget just now after the subscription.

My Score TODAY is: 633!!!

Can’t wait until I raise it up in the months to come =)))

...this is hard.

I paid off my Sallie Me loan and my big credit card. Now I have one one credit card to pay off and a bell south debt to pay off.

reading an article by http://www.lindaferrari.com/ and considering getting her book as well. i REALLY want to work towards paying off old debts and improving my credit score this year. ...now that i feel like i have some financial stability with my job, i feel like this is something i can really accomplish.
