It would be a good idea to decide on my convictions and beliefs first…

Happy Phantom is just relaxing
I used to be a NY Giants Football fan. Then I learned that the Giants Foundation giv money to right wing nutcases like the Eagle Forum and Focus on the Family. I did not immediately change allegiances, but I took a season to make up my mind and then, after much research and consideration, I became a NY Jets fan. It has been hard. I love football and my whole family is Giants fans. No one understood and just see me as a flaky female. I love football and I hate being teased about it. But I’m sticking to my guns.
I don’t shop at WalMart. I read labels on everything and don’t buy any food with trans fats. I proudly volunteer for causes I believe in. And I even wear my “Stand Up for Choice” Planned Parenthood t-shirt in public…a lot.
These are just some examples of how I act in accordance to my convictions and beliefs.
katiemay is procrastinating
I say I believe in many things but how often do I follow those beliefs and live accordingly? For example, I have been so mad about the inhumane treatment of animals, especially the Michael Vick case. This week I wrote letters and sign petitions against his actions, but I also hestitated for a moment in joinging an upcoming protest.
I am going to protest this week and show how much I cannot condone his behavior and the lack of support by Nike.
