I learnt it directly from the fake chef in the film

funny how fiction can work even better than reality

it would encourage me to cook more, and maybe to even start eating eggs again.

I was watching one of the cooking shows and the chef explained how to do this step by step. I now make it a habit when cooking and it was fun to impress the hubby!! Eggcellent!

I know… I couldn’t resist the bad egg pun! Sorry. LOL!!

My dad, who’s a cook, taught me when I was 13. Now I do it without thinking. I can even double-fist it!

The secret? (I’m about to let you in on the most unknown secret of all time…)

DON’T BE AFRAID!
In my experience, many people have tried to do this by lightly tapping the egg on the counter and basically smashing it in their hand. You need to really whack the egg off the counter so you get a clean, crisp break, and then the egg practically falls apart.

Now you’re armed with the knowledge to ((literally)) stun your friends!

A simple way to feel very cool and in control, no matter what else is going on in your life. Recommended.

I learned how to crack an egg in each hand at the same time while working behind the scenes in Yellowstone one summer. It was one of the many benefits of working a summer job at Yellowstone! :-)

And it totally impresses the people you’re cooking for (unless they can do it too)

I have no trouble doing this. 4 years ago

I think I sort of twist the top half and the bottom half of the eggshell away from each other, vaguely reminiscent of using chopsticks.
