Only check my email twice a day

he was gorgeous- and i would check my email once a day- then we started emailing each other, and i checked my email atleast 5-6 times a day- and i had stuff to do! so this made me really frantic. i would worry about his email, unread, in my inbox. so i would rush home and check this email- could never let go and enjoy myself properly-how sad!
in the end- my desperation must have come through to him- we didn’t stay together but i fell into the habit of checking my email every few hours.
One day my friend asked me why i needed to check email every few hours- am i really that busy? and i realised that there was no reason- that was four years ago- and i check my email when i feel like it- about once a day- or once a week when its a holiday. if someone has some important news- they will call me.

please don’t be a slave to your online stuff- get a life- or just stop and rest!

I know this is supposed to be a big time management help, but it’s my sole contact with friends and family right now. I’ll use it as a reward for doing some work instead.

OK I will consider this done if I can do it for 1 month solid. I’ll check my email once in the morning and once in the evening.
