I have been in photography for 8 years. Worked for a company taking school portraits and senior portraits. They turned the art into a photo factory and cared more about the money than the actual subject. Never scheduled enough photographers and spread the quality and creativity thin.
I have always wanted to take over my own studio and put time into making quality images. Hopefully make enough money to help me accomplish other things on my list.
Life keeps throwing debris in this path, but I keep building more skills and accumulating more equipment. It is only a matter of time…

I’d love to make a living doing what I love. Unfortunately, I have little business sense… which leads to some of my other 43 Things.
I’d like to open a photography studio with the main focus on portrait photography.
Objective: To capture people of all ages, sizes and journeys.
To use this business as a catapult to a meaningful
legacy (which is undermined at the moment)
To retire into this business.
My studio is up and running smoothly, there is a tone of advertising to worry about and very little time but it’s what I love and it forces me to do something new every day.
