wander through downtown Victoria

Spent several hours wandering around with my Mum this morning. Too bad it was rather overcast and chilly.

We stopped at the Opera House Antiques shop, which resides in what actually used to be in an opera house. It will be closed down by the end of January though, which sucks since they have a lot of interesting old things in there.

We wandered into a couple other shops and had coffee and cheesecake in a little coffee shop, and that was about it. Not quite as much exploring as I’d like to have done, but we’ve decided to go do things like that more often. So maybe we can explore a few more shops next time.

I think I’ll get to do this Thursday. Me and my Mum are gonna wake up early and hopefully spend all morning downtown. Yay!

I don’t go downtown very often, but I tend to get gleeful and excited when I do.

There are lots of little shops situated closely together, and I suspect that there are apartments above some of them. There are antique shops, coffee shops, restaurants, at least one big church…

Oh, and a little park with a gazebo in it.

I think it’s quite lovely, and certain bits of it look rather old.

I really want to go downtown someday, early in the morning, and spend several hours just wandering around and going into shops and taking pictures of things.
