write more handwritten, no-reason notes

I’ve taken the first step by writing replies on the post-it notes my sister left me. I came up with some funny bits and pieces, so I hope she enjoys them.

Next time I shall have to take the initiative!

The awesomeness of this goal was recently demonstrated to me. I agreed to house sit for my sister over the weekend. When I arrived, I found post-it notes everywhere. Some weren’t quite no-reason, since they detailed what each light switch was for and what was in the cupboards (making my life a whole lot easier) but some were pure fun. Like the one telling me which room was mine and the one that was written backwards and stuck to the shower door so that when I looked in the bathroom mirror I saw it read “mirror!” Much fun indeed.

I have unearthed a small and pretty notepad that will be useful for this goal. Perhaps I should acquire some post-it notes as well.

I saw this goal and just couldn’t resist it. What a lovely and thoughtful idea.

I wrote a little note to my mom, just saying thanks for all that she has done in order to make my life better.

M. found the letter I left in his calendar and said it really brightened his day.

Left a note for my little brother on his car, sent a card to my former roommate from last year, and hid a note for M. in his calendar (so whenever he gets around to changing it, he’ll find it)

I do this all the time for my husband, and leave them around the house. I leave myself notes and others at work etc…It also helps my memory. But my husband loves them to ;-)

I think there are a lot of people in my life right now who could probably use a little bit of random cheer. I am going to get my pretty letter paper out right now!

like I’ve let this goal sort of slide. I’d say it’s because I’m too busy, but I find the time to do a lot of unimportant things despite my “many activities,” so I’m going to make this one a priority this week—I might write Meredith a little note since I’ve been kind of sad that she’s dating someone and doesn’t hang out with me as often. ... But I still love her, and I need to be sure I don’t let my jealousy over the fact that she is actually dating come between us.
