Learn to play golf, not just miniature golf.

I learned it summer school. Golfers can be real jerks sometimes, but other than that it’s fun.

Went to driving range again last week. Was a lot of fun. Then played 18 holes on Sunday. Didn’t do too well, but at least sunk a 12m chip!!

Dont go when its hot, the grass omits humidity making it unbearable….

but ya, if you want to play a round, come here to Palm Springs…

Since I’ve been on a golf course or even at the driving range. Just seems that there is never time to do the things you enjoy most. I should really start making the time for these things and just go out and play. Even if I still suck, practice makes perfect…or should I rather say perfect practice makes perfect.

Played my very first full 18 yesterday. Didn’t do too bad. However, they screwed up our cart bookings etc, causing us to be late for tee-off and being rushed…so the first couple of holes were just point, hit, and go look for the ball…

However, later on got more relaxed and actually started hitting proper straight shots. Think two or three more games and I would feel comfortable to mark this goal as done!

My game has improved quite a bit. But I’m keeping the goal on here still, cause I feel I need to improve a bit more before I can tick this one of my list.

Got a very nice deal on some new Golf clubs. Cleveland Launchers. The local Pro Shop had a special where you buy the normal set of Irons (4I-PW), and they throw in the SW and a Cleveland Hi Bore Driver!! Paid R3,000 for clubs worth R6,500! Trying them out today on the driving range and Sunday I’ll be going to the golf course.

It went quite well. Played a Par 3, 12 hole course. Ended on 69 (after getting a couple of penalty shots due to water and out of bounds). Great thing is I ended 2 shots after a buddy of mine (he ended on 67) and he has previous golfing experience. Has played for couple of years, although not on regular basis.

Playing my first real game on Sunday. Only been to Driving Range. Looking forward to it…fourball with some friends. Just hope I don’t make to big an arse of myself!!!

Went to the driving range again on the weekend. My shots are getting better and I think there might be a small glimmer of hope for my golfing future…not professionally though!
