in an excursion from my usual coding platforms, i wrote a javascript gadget for practicing typing different types of keyboard layouts (http://www.google.com/ig/directory?q=dvorak&root=%2Fig&dpos=top&url=hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/114194522664212901366/dvorak_typing_practice.xml)

it was great to apply my programming interests to something without a corporate purpose again! i want to do more!

I’m getting more adventurous in what I’m trying with the code for DoA. I’ve figured out how to do the saving to pfiles, as well as how to change the data structure in area files (which sucks hardcore). A lot of the things I would usually pass over to Carl, I’m trying on my own.

Still, I can’t figure out what’s wrong with rlist. So, there’s still plenty I can’t do. Yet.

I’ve been doing a lot of random coding lately. Unfortunately, it’s mostly been for someone else’s project, which means I’m neglecting my own. Fortunately, however, it’s helped me grasp some new concepts and grow more confident in my ability to handle certain things.

This week, I’d like to convert my guide code to a table format rather than leaving it in the heavily redundant form it’s in right now.

The more I code, the more I learn. The more I learn, the more I want to code. It’s a beautiful, self-perpetuating cycle… so long as I don’t keep letting myself get distracted.

I love doing this. I need to do it more. It is so very satisfying.
