Go Kayaking (NOT TANDEM!)

I’m a kayak guide in Hawaii. My favorite is the high performance single seat SCUPPER, sleek design, ultra fast (of course, a lot of that is up to the paddler).

A friend introduced me to the kayak in October, when I was visiting her in Wisconsin. In December, I decided to go again. My friend, Oz, and I took Beginning Sea Kayaking in the Oakland Estuary and followed that up with Sea Kayaking II in Half Moon Bay. I’m still a little shaky in the cockpit, but I’m improving. I haven’t been in three months, but I think I’ll go next week.

It was awesome, I took the day off work and went.

I can see how kayaking might be pleasant… When we were tandem kayaking, it was really hard to control the direction of the kayak. There were some lovely moments gliding quietly past herons on the shore.
