I have come up with a plan of action for this next school year!
I’ve been weeding through all of my stuff and throwing away stuff that I don’t need/use so that none of it will come to the new place. No clutter!
Then, I made a schedule of what/how I’m going to keep things in order next year:
Everyday I will make my bed, wash dishes and put away things that are out of place and then…
Monday: wash clothes
Tuesday: Dust
Wednesday: Vacuum/sweep
Thursday: Clean bathroom
Friday: Clean kitchen
I think getting in to a regular pattern of when I’m going to do these things will be a lot better than letting it all pile up until one Saturday mega-cleaning session.

I had “feng shui my room” on my list for years and never did it because the first step was having a perfectly clean, organized and clutter free home, and then recently I have the Feng Shui book I bought to a friend, so now I’m starting over at the beginning and am just going to try and maintain a nice living space instead :)

it is spring cleaning time. need to set a deadline for a few things so they would actually be done.
1) clean all winter clothes/shoes and pack up for the season. ( 2 days work)
2) take out summer clothes and put in closet. (1/2 day)
3) windows treatment cleaning. (1/2 day)
4) hire somebody to clean window and gutter. (phone calls to get quote)
5) spice up outdoor entertaining area. (1/2 day)
6) garage clean up (1/2 day)
7) appliances back clean up and repair.

i just finished printing out a daily chore chart and a weekly/monthly chore chart for the fam. i’ve discussed divving up chores with my hubby and now everyone has their assigned tasks. now we just have to check off each task as it’s done. I’m planning to post these on the inside of our hallway closet, so it’s centralized but not in our guests’ face… hope this works!!

We just bought a new home and I want to be proud of how it looks.
15 minutes a day… It’s all it takes to improve the situation! It won’t be perfect but there will be more satisfaction and less clutter!
I can do this!!!

i have work & school, my hubby has 2 jobs, and we have 2 little ones. so when we’re home we tend to relax (maybe too much!) & let go of “little things” like cleaning up. so we’re always sure to tell friends & family to call us before stopping by—to buy us time to frantically make our place presentable. funny that the fear of someone seeing our home messy is our main motivator for cleaning up.
i want our home to be presentable at all times. and i really like some ideas posted here… get organized and do things in relatively short, simple increments everyday. it’s worth a shot!

i think this goal would probably stay on this list forever. it requires on-going maintainence. not something that you can get done.

My appartment is in a mess.
I used to keep all in order, but since the beginning of this year, when I started remaining too many hours at the office,I have been too tired in the evening to clean things and disorder has accumuleted during all these months. Now, I don’t have the strengh to get some discipline anymore.
