From my home to the trainstation, nonstop.
Let’s do it.
How to run 5km without stopping
How I did it: Like I said, not only did I run 5km without stopping, but I actually ran the full 12km's without stopping. My first time, and I managed a respectable time of 01 hour, 05 minutes, 06 seconds.
I even beat some of my fitter friends.
I guess I was fitter than I anticipated. After only 6 training runs with my 2 dogs, running 6km each day, I gave the run a go... sure it was hard... but I didn't stop... and it was worth the experience.
Lessons & tips: Get started training immediately. It doesn't matter your fitness level, or how far you can run to start with. Just start. And be consistent with your training. Don't give up, hang in there, and you will be running much farther than you imagined after a short while.

Heidi is making progress
I’ve never been able to run without feeling like an idiot and that my lungs are about to explode. However, I have been cycling to work for 18 months now and feel that I’m probably fitter than I have ever been so now is as good a time as any to try and strengthen my weak ankles. I’m going to find a charity run to give me some more motivation. Running must be the simplest thing in the world that I feel I can’t do, so I’m going to try.
Started following free workouts from www.crossfit.com about two months ago, almost did it on the 10th of July. Finally got it done with time of 32min… last time i ran over 3km non stop was 4km in highschool and only managed that once. So am feeling Great!! (I can ride a bike for over an hour on max resistance but never could run)
Well worth doing!
i tried to run 5km but i passed out about 6 mins in…. EMBARASSING! i must do this! and i need to be able to run 5km without stopping within 5 weeks! in less than 25 minutes would be ideal, but less than 35 minutes is what’s required.
i;ve done this with a school marathon.. the feeling of acomplishment i had afterwards was just awesome! :D
Did this in May 2006 whilst running a Race for Life run. Really pleased did it without stopping AND for such a good cause at the same time (Cancer Research).
