There are just so many books out there! I have curtailed my spending on books, but still buy a book on occasion. It’s hard not to purchase a new book by a favorite author. :)

I’m still in compliance with this thing because I picked up a book on vacation but was not charged for it. It was complementary, so I didn’t BUY it…
Ok, it’s a technicality and I should be reading what I have anyway so this is a reminder to get on it again…
I got paid a bonus at work and awarded myself for my hard work with the greatest gift of all – books. Although, in my defense, one of the books is actually a gift for a friend (even though I’ll get to read it sooner or later, as that’s the unwritten rule we have when giving books to each other as presents) and the other two are, er, purely for research and education.

I’ve got a LOT of books, and more than a few of them I bought and never read. I’m not even sure how to find all of the ones I didn’t read. So I think I will start with the shelves in my bedroom and go from there.
First goal then read all of the books on the shelves in the bedroom.
Cluricaune sent me not one but two Bookcrossing books. I got a book for Christmas. My “mother in law” gave me some books to read. All this while I have no time to read.

...gonna happen. I love books too much to pass a good one by. Don’t want to forget about it, yaknow? Thank goodness for amazon wish lists and save for laters!
A thought has struck me… Do I count downloaded audiobooks, podcasts, e-books and websites? shudder
I’m using the receipt as a book mark. I bought this thing in 1999 and always meant to see it through. Started my assault on it tonight. Very interesting.
DONE!
I was, am, a great fan of the movie although I only have a vague memory of it. I just finished the book and while it may seem simple, I didn’t like it that much. I did like it was very easy to read and I plowed right through it.
Moby Dick, seven years. Slaughterhouse Five, one month.
I do feel good moving ahead on one of these things. I’ve been making headway here and there but haven’t finished one damn thing!
