DocD spent yesterday climbing Diamond Head and today snorkeled at Hanauma.
I sailed from Singapore, across the South China Sea to Sarawak, and up the river to Kuching. It had been a dream of mine to see the country that James Brooke, the White Rajah, created. I took a boat up the Rajeng River as far as I was allowed, and stayed with Iban head hunters (now outlawed). Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time to sail over to Sabah and visit an orangutan sanctuary. Next time I’ll do that, and climb Mt Kinabalu.
