use my planner

There’s a pretty cool community on Livejournal called organizers at http://community.livejournal.com/organizers – it is inspirational!

I’ve been in the planner instead of the wall calendar for a couple weeks now. I need to get more of my goals and lists etc going in it, but at least I use it every day now.

Instead of the soft-sided calendar I’ve been carrying around for the first part of the year, I decided to resurrect my old Cambridge zip-around planner. I printed calendar pages myself on card stock instead of buying refills at the store. Why did I ever stop carrying this planner? I have upcoming birthdays and a baby shower invite noted already. I feel much better!

I buy an inexpensive planner from Staples every year now that is about $5. It is simple, not too big, not too small. Mine is 7”w x 8.5” h. It’s size is perfect, but I preferred the planner that I had last year, but Staples discontinued that style. Drat.

I would get a Treo or something, but I have a tendency to lose those, and that’s an expensive thing to lose. I’m very visual, so seeing a whole week’s worth of stuff, notes, etc, it’s much easier to have a physical planner.

The Frankline Planner’s were just too bulky. I live with my planner and use it daily. Good for appointments & notes.

Feh. I just started using a calendar on my computer and had it email notifications to me. I found that trying to be this intensely aware of obligations is pointless and weighs down my purse.

i’m not doing well at this, probably because i have no job and no responsibilities. thanks for enabling me post-graduation mom!!

I’m doing this, but I need to figure out how to organize the little bugger.

I need to write everything down in it, assignments, appointments, everything. This gets marked off when I’ve been using it successfully for a month.

I have been using an appointment calendar which I take everywhere with me … I am having some luck remembering all there is to remember.
