It’s hard to encourage him to run off to class as soon as he gets home from work, and the days I have the strength to encourage him he doesn’t feel motivated to go after missing Alex all day and knowing he’ll be sleeping when he comes home. I need to find a way to help him stay on track. Money is tight so I can’t offer him a big present, and of course if he’s working on getting shape for his purple belt I can’t reward him with food. I guess we may have to arrange for something else I have that he wants… 5 years ago

Well, the husband got another stripe on his blue belt day before yesterday! Encouraging him to get a purple belt really just involves sending him off to class – even when I am tired and want help entertaining Alex (i.e. ALL the time!) I’m glad he got his stripe – it will be challenging to keep on track when he starts teaching again but I hope we are both up to it. Sometimes after a long day I would rather grapple with a two hundred pound man than be left with Alex while he does it! I should get some sort of belt for this too! 5 years ago
