I live in australia and always have, but i want a change of scenery! I’m only 18 so i dont plan to complete this goal too soon, but i’ve been thinking about it for 3 years.
Lisa has done 400 things.
but I have some things to do in America first. I’d like to do this eventually, but currently I’m happy with a goal of just traveling to Europe…a lot!
I am very jealous of all of you that do or have lived and worked abroad. It has always bee a distant dream of mine, but I always think I can’t afford to do it. My fear is not getting a decent paying job and not enjoying myself living in anopther country. For now I think I am sticking to vacations and short study abroad, but I am putting this in the someday(hopefully soon) catagory.
I have Spanish Citizenship, but I was born and raised in the US> I speak Spanish almost perfectly, and I even have the Castillian accent. So why am I stuck in the US in a state with a CRAPPY economy? Because I am afraid of moving to Spain and not being able to find a job. I don’t even know how to go about starting to work towards my goal!
It can be downright difficult to do but it’s totally worth it for the cultural exposure. It’s killer for your language skills not to mention world perspective. Oh, and make sure you’ve got some unique skills; otherwise, well, my hat off to you for being such a brave soul…
I think living and working in Europe (specifically Germany) has been one of the greatest experiences I could imagine. The travel and cultural possibilities are unbelievable, the opportunity to learn another language is unbeatable and the quality of life is incredible.
The only hard part will be leaving… if I do, that is.
This would be so a great experience. The challenge is to find a good position that would allow me to do it!
Actually, I would like to live in Europe for a while just to be able to tour and see what all the fuss is about. I don’t really have to work.
