Work on my house

We have a new house, and its more like a new shell. There are lots of things we could do to improve the place and its value. I want to stop procrastinating and get some of it done.

I keep looking at my burnt sienna kitchen, its poor walls full of drilled holes and anchors, thinking “oh wouldn’t it be so pretty if I just painted it?”
But pregnant people can’t paint, especially 9ft ceiling walls so alas I have to concentrate my efforts elsewhere.
I could sew a nice cover for the milk crate I keep the dog’s toys in and I could make a skirt to go around the table I keep her bed under so she could have a little privacy. I need to organize the closet and clean out our bedroom. Hard to believe it’s only two and a half months till we are sharing it with our newest family critter!
I’ve been working in the yard a little too, but I really need to find the funds for a lawnmower. In a month I will be drowning in bramuda if I don’t mow it twice a week. And I need to do more research about organic lawncare, my dad keeps bugging me about the weeds in the yard… :/

The House is old so it seems to need a lot, I have started something in almost every room but most of them remain unfinihed I am going to list them in order of importance
1. finish the bathroom remodel
2. Waterproof the basement
3. repaint the kitchen
4 fix the cracks in the walls
5. refinish the wood trim
6. Clean up the Yard and make it look decent

More like, I am doing this.

Constantly.

Little gives you more lasting, day-to-day satisfaction than making your own house fit you, express you, work for you.

Soooo easy to overspend, however, and most chaotic during the process on anything even semi-major.

First step taking down wallpaper
Painting-I’m going to do like an orange (like an orange sunset & then sponge blue over that…we’ll see I may change my mind before I get to that step.
Replace the towels holders, toilet paper holder, cabinet & drawer handles
New shower curtain, new rug & toilet rug.

Well the bedroom has been painted for quite some time I’ve just been to busy to type. I’m still working on details of the bedroom. I painted the closet this past weekend & the weekend before that I sanded, antiqued, & varnish my bookshelf & tv stand….......now I am doing the same thing to the night stands. Busy busy….....I still have to touch up the ceiling in my bedroom cause i’m a litte bit of a messy painted & I got my green paint on the white ceiling….ick.

Along with getting my bedroom painted. I need new carpet in the living room, a new kitchen floor, and a new dishwasher. I need bedroom furniture. I want to re-do my main bathroom-it has hidious pink flower wallpaper. ick. Of course baby room if I get pregnant. My son’s room is painted but it needs touch up work & the closet painted. I want to paint our bedroom closet. I want to paint the living room & get away from the white walls with kids finger prints all over them. New entry room tile. Basically redo my whole house. :)

Outside I’ve been working on turning into an Italian garden. I want an italian garden yard. Ivy, & wild flowers, and just B-E-A-UTIFUL!!!!
