Shakespeare's Girlfriend is excited to see what happens to her in 2009!
I really think he needs a friend. He’s a very needy cat and we just are not home enough to keep him company.

I’ve been looking for a kitten lately and now I think I found the one. I’m a bit worried though because I can’t go to the owner’s house to see them, because of the distance and my summer job. The owner seems like a trustworthy and good cat owner, but who knows? The kittens look perfectly healthy in pictures and they have been raised indoors.
We’ll see.

I’ve thinking about this quite long time now and I decided what kind of breed I’d like to have: a Bengal. I like its personality and its looks, and just basically everything about it. I can’t have it now or in near future though, because I need to save lots of money! But I’m ready for it, because I think this cat just might be the right one for me (and for my other cat).

My cat is quite happy with the way things are now, but it still needs a cat friend. I’m studying so I’m not home all the time so it sometimes gets bored.

He has been here for less than a week and even if they are far from friends they have come to a stage where they sort of tolerate each other, they even come close enough to greet each other nose to nose without hissing or growling. I think I can tick this one off for now.

No, sadly, they don’t. I have made friends with a stray kitty and he comes as far as the door. It’s very clear that’s as close as we’ll come for now to getting a new cat. I’ll just wait a few years until we have kids and get them to beg their daddy:)

Young Balder will move in with us. Hopefully he and Eskarina will learn to get along even if we don’t count on them doing it right away. Balder was born on April 1th and Eskarina is turning 7 years old in a few days. Balder is still living with his mom and siblings he’ll stay a bit longer since we are going on a trip in July and we think that going on a long trip right after moving to a new place away from mom and siblings could be a bit to much for him.

...maybe it will happen:) We have a cat already who, in my unbiased opinion, is the greatest cat that ever lived. Actually he’s probably half human. I know I sound like a crazy cat lady so I’ll move on…He’s such a great companion but sometimes I think he’s lonely. So I want to get another one which my husband is totally against. We paid a pretty penny for Baxter but I want to rescue the next one. I’ll give myself a year to convince him Baxter is lonely before deleting this from the list.
I’ve decided since I’m living overseas and am not sure when I’ll move again that I’m better off fostering a cat that needs a home for a few months while their family moves or before being rehomed. I think this is better for the cat than sitting in a cage in quarantine for 3 months and its great for me to have the company.
My husband and I adopted a stray cat that had been following us around when we took walks around our neighborhood. She’s such a sweetie-pie!
