When I went to Chicago over the summer to visit my aunt Carole, I was sitting at a bus stop with headphones around my neck, eating a cookie, and staring at the concrete because I was so tired. The woman on my right turned to me and asked if I was okay, and that I looked sad. She made me fall in love with Chicago.
The guy drumming on the same street corner every day made me fall in love with Chicago.
The cleanliness and icecream made me fall in love with Chicago.
How Lake Michigan looks like the Caribbean Sea (not that I’ve seen it) made me fall in love with Chicago.
ANNDDDD there’s a school, Columbia College (no affiliation with the University in New York, another city that I adore), that has the perfect music industry program for me. Also, it has my plan B: journalism. I need to go to this school.
