We have this problem too. There are 5 of us and we have a strange schedule with people not being home, etc. Kids only eat certain things. We are spending way too much on last minute meals from fast food. I’m going to forward the tips from PeaceHopeLife to my daughter and come up with a plan.

Cleaning out the refrigerator was so much easier to do now that we really try hard to consume the food here at home and not eat out so often. The price of gasoline helps us stay home. I pulled out my old Bisquick Cookbook and started making “Leftover” pizza. Not too bad. The pizza crust is crisp on the bottom and soft and chewy. Whatever is left before shopping day is thrown on the pizza, covered with cheese and very interesting. I use bottled spaghetti sauce for the pizza sauce.
Our last two:
One left over cooked Filet Mignon, artichoke hearts from the bottle, pineapple, red peppers and corn.
or
finely sliced hot dogs, tomatoes, green onions, Irish cheese and Monterey jack cheese
