have ever been particulary interested in seeing animals in captivity. Mostly they end up feeling bad after a visit to a place like SeaWorld.

SeaWorld: such an unoriginal name.
A few years ago my school band performed there as part of our QLD tour. They put us in front of the lake just before the water-skiing show and the audience was very obviously uninterested in us.
I say it’s worth it, but my feelings are really very mixed about this. On one hand you have to admire that Sea World does a lot to rescue animals and promote awareness of them. You also get to see and learn about animals like manatees and penguins and other more exotic creatures and touch things in the tide pool exhibit close up.
The thing I didn’t like about Sea World was that whenever you walk out of one exhibit you step right into a gift shop selling stuffed animals or other trinkets of whatever you just saw in the exhibit. The sea lion pen was the worst. You get to feed fish to them, but it’s so unnatural. They bark very loudly with their mouths wide open demanding food. They wouldn’t do this in the wild. I also kind of feel sorry for all the animals held in captivity and forced to perform shows. I’m not saying they’re not treated well, they may very well have a very happy existence, but I wonder…
I went to Sea World San Diego one Thanksgiving. I think Thanksgiving is the perfect day to go because there really isn’t much of a crowd and the weather is quite mild in San Diego year-round. It was amusing to hear one of the workers complain about having to work on the holiday.

My new husband and I just got back from Florida yesterday. We had a great time and spent a whole day at SeaWorld. It was SO hot, but we had fun and absolutely loved the shows. We’re huge animal lovers, so this experience was great!
Melissa B. is back, and ready to get her life in order.
I went to SeaWorld San Antonio and had a terrible time. I’ve never met so many rude people in my life! Maybe my experience was outside the norm, but my day at SeaWorld was LOUSY. It’s by far the worst experience I’ve had at any amusement park.
Loved it… touching the dolphins was awesome… Makes me sad to see these animals in captivity though, especially the orcas, knowing the sad history that captive whales have (dying, attacking people). As a child though, I enjoyed it.
My best friend Steph and I headed down to Orlando for a weekend to celebrate my birthday. We went to Seaworld and had a great time. It was unbelievable hot however because it was July. I live in Florida and the heat is just unbearable.

I loved it!!! SOme of my most fun memories were going here and seeing shamu and the orca show and all the other cool shows too. It was a blast.
