Visit and talk to my friend who lives in another state more often

I need to go see one of my friends in Tennessee sometime. I’m not sure when I will go see him though. I am only in high school and I miss him a lot.

I arrived in New York this evening. My first reaction is “ahhhhhh, a city”. It is great to be somewhere where you can constantly watch people, eat great food, take all forms of transportation (see waiting for Subway picture above), and in general, just be with a great friend in a different setting. This evening we packed in quite alot, including dinner at Max Restaurant. It was delicious, then we went and bought some yummy cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery, and finished out our evening on the town in a search for the elusive lithium battery, size AA. For some reason there seems to be a major shortage, as it took two stores in Seattle, three in New York, before finally finding them at Walgreens, Union Square. It was really quite weird, but amusing. Then we headed back to Long Island city for a nightcap of tea and cupcakes and some trash tv. However, it is late, and I should try and sleep so I can acclimate myself to the new time zone.

I’m so excited that Alyssa is coming to visit me, especially because this makes my job of accomplishing this goal so much easier! Thank you Alyssa. :)

I am packing up and heading to New York for a nice vacation and visit with my friend in February. Plane tickets are cheap right now, so I got one and was only going to stay a few days, then thought, it has been a while since my last vacation. So I made it an extended trip. My plan is to do a whole bunch of things (touristy) that I’ve not done yet in New York, such as the Statue of Liberty, the new MOMA, an eight hour visit to the Met (I’ve spent fewer hours there and it is never enough. And of course, do the staples like going out dancing, to a play, wining and dining maybe see some music, and a little shopping. And of course, spend some good quality time with my friend.

We worked together in Seattle, and have the greatest conversations and have so much fun when we go out. It is time for me to head to New York and have a visit.
