This goal has been consolidated into the “quality time with family” goal. But I will update the readings here.

    The Library by Sarah Stewart.

    The Giving Tree.

The Advanture of Polo series (only 2 in U.S., the rest are not translated from French yet)

Jan. 1-20, 2008: read more to my kids 22 months ago

Ok, I add this one back this year. Got a nice book “the gardener” by Sarah Stewart. Will borrow her other books.

I am thinking it would be a good idea to borrow all the award winning children’s books. This will ensure high quality.

Tuesday and Thursday and a weekend Day, Starting today 22 months ago

When my life gets busy..my kids get the worst of it. I detach more than anything. Who wants to read little kid stories when there are so many important, critical things. Oh yeah, my kids are the most critically important thing.
Today, one of my most hurried and stressful days.. I will read to them after bath time…and keep cell calls and emails off until they are fast asleep in the company of their mami.

    Very Good 2 years ago

The biggest gain over the past 3 weeks is to find Tomie dePaola. We read his “the knight and the dragon” and had a great laugh. I like his drawing style. Somehow I don’t need a children’s book to “teach” kid something. I only need it to have fantastic pictures and funny/wacky story lines. We got dePaola’s Straga Nona as well.

I am changing this goal to 5 books over 3 weeks. If the stories are good kid wants to read them over and over again.

    Status: On track.

Every 3 weeks I will borrow 7 books from Library and read one to my kid every night, and rotate after 1 week. Will consider it done if achieved from now till the end of 2007.
