Google has many tools that tell you how to imkprove your page rank. I am currently testing them with my site http://bunchofwriters.com

I’ve done it for clients—but its not just having a high PageRank, its ranking for what matters. A site with a lower PageRank could still easily beat you on Google if they have better, more trusted links that say the right things.

PageRank is nice though, because it determines how often Google will crawl your site.

Its better to think about who your customers are and how you can reach out to them than sweating what the toolbar says.

There are some more important goals. Like to raise the rankings. Pagerank alone didn’t do much difference.

When I originally wrote this, google had done some kind of “adjustment” and my PR had fallen to 4 …. but it’s a solid 5 now. And I guess they like the css code better as well.

My logs are showing alot more google referrals.

I’m obsessed with white-hat seo …. and love to see the results of even slight changes. Google is my favorite search engine simply because I think that everyone has an equal chance with them … they aren’t biased with their results.

If you follow their guidelines, you can pretty much count on a decent listing.
