get a job once school starts

i’m not sure if i still want to get a job..
i still have my job working at a budget theater, back home.. which, i’m still able to work during school breaks/vacations.. and right now, that’s all i want. i’m doing okay in my classes.. and i’d rather have time to myself than going to work. the only downside is, no money. i’m poor. i’m broke. yeah, that’s that’s the gist of it. But.. jobs aren’t fun. hanging out in my dorm room is where it’s at! hehe. i don’t know… i guess.. maybe.. i’ll try to get a small job or something… :[ eek.

there’s a small restaurant type thing downstairs in the dorms and one of the ladies that works there asked me if i wanted to work there.

i’m not sure.
i’d see alot of college kids…& they’d see me working there.. blah! i don’t know! i need money and it would be convenient, but i just don’t know what i should do.

i’m always confused like this and have to make everything more difficult for myself. but we’ll see what happens.

My cousin suggested I worked as a “Lab Consultant” at my school. Her and her boyfriend have been doing it and say that it’s pretty easy.. & that you basically get paid to get your homework done. I’d like to do it, but I’m not sure if I qualify. If you have to know a lot about computers.. I do to a certain extent—but not enough to fix one or anything. I think it would be nice to work right on campus though. I won’t have a car next year, so I’ll have to walk (or possibly bike) to my work place. My parents highly stress the importance of making money while still in school. I have tons of loans I’m going to have to pay off! Eeek! This summer I’ve been working at a budget movie theater, that I’ve been employed with for around 3 years. I didn’t have very many hours. My parents wanted me to have a full time job. So, I definitely should get a job during the school year, to be able to make more money—-& I kind of want to keep myself busy, so I don’t get sad & lonely sitting in my dorm room. Plus, if I’m always busy my ex-boyfriend won’t be able to cling to me. I’m really going to try and avoid that. Last year when we were together, he’d come over right after school (he was still in high school) and eat all my food! Don’t want that! I need my freedom.

I’m going to email the Computer Lab Manager and hopefully, get a job working in the computer labs. Wish me luck! :]
