the other night, how yummy that was!!!
I have a shared kitchen and i don’t cook as much as i used to… time to find myself a nice independent place where i can make pancakes whenever and invite friends!

made one this morning yummy miam-miam!!!!
With mushrooms, corn, olives, cream, egg, miam miam miam…
had great evening the other day with a friend, where we didn’t have the proper ingredients for it, i.e. ‘how my father did it’, so we looked for alternative ingredients in her kitchen (we did have basil though!!) and we had a great time just adding a bit of this or that and we ended up making a delicious sauce. hadn’t done anything sponteanously in the kitchen, felt so freeing and fun!
with candles and wine….everyone happy. Nice dinner, all smiles.
Tonight I’m making eggplant parmigiana with ragu leftovers…ummmm….I don’t even need a cookbook, as all of my mad cooking skills are coming back with some practice.
We’re having a movie night picnic in the living room tonight. We were going to watch the latest Harry Potter flick but I just noticed it’s rated PG 13 and I have to draw the line there. Well, thank goodness for pay per view, hope something is on worth watching!
Well, I am not close to reckless abandon but I suddenly feel like indulging in delicious food, not just as a ‘treat’ but as part of a delicious way of feeding myself, combined with more healthy stuff, also delicious anyway
Kind of sums it all up, doesn’t it???? I’m going to hang this up somewhere too….kitchen or bedroom, I’m not sure.
Not sure if / how I’ll approach that goal, but it cheers me up every time i happen to read it. Like not to take things to seriously or rigidly, basically to chill out and enjoy myself.

I usually don’t like to depart from the recipe. But yesterday I substituted a blend of 1/4 c plain yogurt and 3/4 c soymilk for a cup of cream. It felt a little reckless!
This was for the waffles I made…they turned out fine!
I don’t want reckless to mean that I begin to make something, and then just have to dump it because it didn’t turn out. Maybe I’m not cut out for cooking with reckless abandon.

I’m staying off of the computer this Saturday (yep, tomorrow) so that I can spend more time in the kitchen over the weekend.
