Not fun, but I did it 18 months ago

I took tennis lessons from my husband. He’s a great tennis player and a pretty good teacher. I did okay, I just don’t think tennis is a good sport for me. Although I do like the skirts.

I enjoyed this sport in high school when we studied it for a few weeks at a time. I miss it. (And badminton and volleyball…)

Community actvities rock 21 months ago

I started taking community lessons in June, and continued until maybe November, when it got rainy. I’d like to start up again in the spring. We play mixed doubles in a class that is anywhere between 10 and 25 people. I’ve met a lot of new people from my neighborhood, and it feels good to get the exercise. Sometimes it was hard to find the motivation to go after a tough day of work, but I did see my game improving!

I still am no good but it was fun 2 years ago

I had basically not taken lessons since high school so I wanted to do it again. I jumped into Intermediate lessons which I probably should not have done. I really don’t know any of the rules, I forgot how to hold the racket, and don’t know any of the mechanics.

However, I did improve my game. I met great new people and it kept me busy and in the sun for the three weeks of the lessons.
Would do it again (however, I think I need to learn to care a little more about the mechanics and less about the social aspect).

Plus I met good people Gen, Jim, Victorina, Christina and a few others. We’ve met a few times after. Gen and I convinced each other to join WCC rec center!

My friend christina and i love playing tennis but we’re not that great..so we will take lessons—again.
I’m intrigued by the sport because you can actually improve your game as much off the court as on the court…just thru mentally going over the game a series of times in your head. And because i’m always all in my head…i dig that.

Well, 2 years ago

I didn’t take a lesson yet, but I went to the courts by house, met a girl playing there, and we met up later in the week to “hit balls”. Its a start.

I love tennis, and the lessons were totally worth it. They helped me become way better.

Exercise 3 years ago

Its a great way to excersise and it also takes your mind off the business and problems of the modern society. Definetly worth doing!
