How to lose half a stone
How I did it: I read Paul McKenna's book but didn't bother about listening to the CD as I'm not sure I believe in hypnosis. But strangely what he says is absolutely right and so obvious that I have no idea why I wasted years dieting without achieving any solid results,
Lessons & tips:
- Think about what you are eating - but eat what you want!
- Stop when you are full.
- Drink more water.
- Walk more.
And it works - not a quick fix but a longterm change of habit.

I haven’t really been watching my weight since my sister’s wedding because I no longer needed to get into my bridesmaid’s dress! Of course I ate too much over christmas and I’m probably quite lucky that I’m still under 11 stone. But I bought a dress this week and can’t get into it, so that is now my target – to get into that dress!
Yay I’ve lost half a stone… unfortunately I think I’ve put on a stone since putting this on my list of things to do… meaning I actually still have a stone to go! Doh. But on the bright side, I feel thinner! And all I’ve done is cut out fatty sandwich fillings and snacking between meals, so I’m quite pleased with that.
goin on holiday 28th june this year n starting diet 2morro…want to lose half a stone so i can walk around in tiny shorts n tight tops n look half decent lol!! Fingers crossed eh?!
So now it’s my mum, my dad, three of my aunts and a family friend, all trying to lose weight! We compare weight loss on a weekly basis in an attempt to motivate each other – the competition helps some of us more than others.
My dad hasn’t quite got the hang of it though, and came back from the supermarket last night with a lemon meringue pie… apparently he didn’t think it would damage the diet too much!
Obviously I ate it. Well it would be rude not to. ;-)
Well my scales are fixed and I got on them for the first time today… it wasn’t pleasant. 11 stone 3 and three quarters!!! Eek! I think I need to lose a bit more than half a stone now, but that would be a good start.
I’m giving myself until the summer to lose half a stone and keep it off. Have to rethink my diet a bit.
well lost that stone thank god! that was due 2 giving up smoking. still 10 tho, want 2 be 9! diet starts again monday :)
Erm this hasn’t gone so well in the last 6 months. I seem to have put on half a stone, could be something to do with all that nice food over Christmas. I’m going to aim to get back to ten and a half stone and then see where I can go from there…
