I’m moving to LA in less than a month with no money saved up. I’m sure I sound crazy but I have to move out and I can’t find anywhere to live in VA plus I’m just done with it all. I really wish I had someone to travel with who is going through the same thing. If you want to move too, let’s meet somewhere and do this together! We can keep each other motivated.

How I did it: I got admitted into film school, which motivated me to finally get out of my hometown. Then I just left everything behind and made the move with my husband at the time. We lived in a cramped little apartment in Hollywood. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Rented a moving truck and dragged all my shit down here. Lived in a friend's spare room until I could afford Lancaster. Hated it. Got a job. Moved to the burbs. Hated it slightly less. Had the worst time of my life and only improved by getting on anti-depressants. I am content now.I know it sounds horrible, but if you want to live here, give it a try! Read how I did it…

I re-evaluate… I may have been too hard on LA. It is a really unique place, but I don’t think I really “got it” the first year I lived there. Coming from the east coast, it took me a while to understand the culture. I have now lived in SoCal for two years and get the culture a lot more. I think it is very unique and interesting. There’s a lot to explore, but I still think you can see all of it in a few months and then move on, unless you are really into LA culture. I’m moving to the Bay Area this fall and am excited.

so booked my ticket to LA. I decided to go check it out for a few days before I live there…to see with my own eyes what areas are good/bad. I’ll be there in about a month, so excited!

I’ve always felt drawn to California. I’m a musician, an arts lover and I know that’s where my people are. Its my dream to go there. Even if I end up hating LA…just going there would be the realization of a dream in itself!
to move to LA right when I turn 18. I’m from San Diego, and I LOVE it here.. but I want to go out and see different places, meet new people. Staying in the same place does get boring
moving to LA in july for the same reasons everyone moves to LA…to become a seismologist! right?
