Zooot is overwhelmed with work and has no time left.
It was a dark and stormy day, but men are tough creatures. We just put the grill on the porch, out of the rain.
Willie ordered some franks and steaks from somewhere in the Mid-west. Steph made her broccoli salad. Christine brought ice-cream cones.
Alfredo Potato Salad (if I recall correctly):
15 small red skinned potatoes
5 eggs
1 dill pickle
1 tbsp cream
1 tbsp parmesan cheese
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp flour
3 tbsp mayonnaise
Coat potatoes with a little oil and bake for 40 minutes at 350 turning once.
Hard boil the eggs, quarter them and remove yolks.
Melt butter, add flour, cream, cheese and yolks.
Blend in mayo.
Chop pickle, halve potatoes, add egg whites and dressing.
Our old gas oven is a bit wonky, so time and temp are rough.
I also made tandoori chicken in creamy tomato sauce. This is getting closer to what you can get in the Indian restaurants, but there’s still that one little ingredient that I can’t identify.
One day I’m going to refuse to pay for my dinner until I get the recipe.
