It’s a start
How I did it: I took care of this while cooking. While the water was boiling, the pasta was cooling, etc., I took everything out of the cupboards and checked the dates on it before I put it back. I threw out a lot of expired food.
I hope I'll remember to do this periodically. I also hope I learn to stock my cupboards better with important ingredients that make it easy to cook more. Also, if I cook more often, I'll use stuff up before it goes bad and I won't have to throw it out.
dragonfly35 is wondering why time slows down near the end!
I think I would cook more if my cupboards were stocked better and I knew where things were!
I have hardly looked in the cupboards (or cooked anything elaborate) since I moved a year ago. It’s time to get organized and get back in the habit. I need to start by throwing out all my old food and making a list of pantry staples.
I think that it would be much easier to cook if I could easily find the stuff I need.
