I’ll never be able to say I’m done doing this since I feel it’s a lifetime goal, to surround yourself with beauty, but right now, I guess my goal is to keep my sensual soul while experiencing what I feel is a quite ugly moment in my life. I need to keep my ability to notice the gorgeousness of life and not get lost in the hard grey reality that’s waiting for me every morning when I wake up.
I’ll do this by making sure to keep my eyes and ears open for gifts of random beauty in the world around me, I’ll continue to eat well, even if what I cook changes – beautiful, sensual dishes – and I’ll continue to free myself at night, to breathe true breath in movies, music, jazz, love and black coffee :)
And, as soon as I can, I’m going somewhere near water for a holiday, to run around like a crazy person and become part of the beauty I want to surround myself with, because it’s important to give as well as take :)

I believe that beauty is all around us, we just have to take the time to see it.
Its in big things, little things….... imagination and love.

The only thing I miss about Georgia are the tree lined country roads, and the Gardenia bushes. There are pine trees all over my neighborhood here, but not like that. I think I’ll go to home depot and buy a potted gardenia, and a porch swing. Small steps toward making our house a home.

Lunashadow is appreciating the way life turned out to be
Besides decorating a little for the holidays I’ve not even thought about this. I have taken the time to look at individual snow flakes and as much as I don’t care for snow I’ve appreciated how beautiful it’s looked.

As much as I’m not a big fan of snow, I have to admit that it is beautiful and I’m surrounded in it alot.

Back to the dining room. It is beautiful. It has lots of windows and I love how the large bay windows frame the woods like a beautiful picture. Next step is to make it sparkle. It’s theme will be “harvest”. I love that my dining room is so nuetral that I can morph it into anything I want. I love that it has beautiful french doors that open onto a porch. (They’re much more beautiful when they don’t have doggie goobers on them.) Making it sparkle might be more work than I first imagined. It will be worth it.

Since I haven’t time to make an effort to do this in my home. I’ll reflect here on the beautiful schools my children go to. I had a parent teacher conference yesterday. I’m not in the schools very often but when I am I really notice how beautiful they are and how lucky my children are. They don’t know the difference to appreciate it but I do. Their schools are absolutely amazing. The architecture will be timeless and I’m thankful for that too.

In class yesterday I noticed the girl that sat behind me smelled good – something like Johnsons baby oil. Then a girl sat next to me and she brought with her a scent of a lovely perfume. It’s a lecture hall and the seats are so close you can usually smell the breath of the person next to you. I was thankful for the beautiful scents.

Right back at ballet class. H and I were pretty yesterday. Sometimes a really good class makes me feel beautiful. H brought some beautiful music. She said it was Christian music put to classical form. We were so pretty the static that made my skirt cling to my rear didn’t even take away from it.
