How to go swimming in the ocean

"It was pretty much an annual beach trip for me."
How I did it: Swimming in the ocean beats going to the pool by a lot. Knowing that your swimming in the same ocean that is probably the same water that people halfway across the globe are also swimming in is such a feeling. I don't know, just the ocean seems so much more real than a pool with nasty chemicals in the water.
Lessons & tips: Find a beach or something near where you live or vacation. It's totally worth it.

Too much fun… you’ve gotta do it if you’ve never done it. I guess some people take it for granted. I’ve never really taken a step back and thought about the fact that there millions of people who’ve never swam in the ocean.
For those of you contemplating it, do it! Life’s too short and there are alot of people out there who will never even get the chance to see an ocean, not to mention swim in it.
p.s. Jetskiing on the ocen is way more fun than jetskiing on a lake, check it out!

i hate large bodies of water. but i went wading in the gulf of mexico and i loved it. i can’t wait to go swimming in the ocean!!

There is nothing like swimming in the ocean… especially when the ocean you are swimming is in the Caribbean! It was amazing to be able to swim in the ocean that is so crystal clear.

... but it was scary! When I was a child I was stung by a nettlefish (like a jellyfish) badly – so badly that I had to go to the fire department and get a special temporary cast put on. Now I have this constant fear of swimming in natural bodies of water, especially when I can’t see to the bottom. :(
