stop chewing my nails

I’ve been chewing my nails (as my mum said) since I was 3, and I have realised that chewing my nails is disgusing, I mean seriously – who wants to see you with your fingers in your mouth, gnawing away like you haven’t eaten in days?? Well that’s what I think anyway…

So I’ve begun watching my nails and moisturising them, but I also like reading other people’s stories on how they managed to stop chewing them for good ^^

I think I won’t say I’ve completed this goal untill I feel ocmpletely satisfied with them, but they’re looking good!

Been chewing my nails and the surrounding skin for as long as I can remember. I’m sick of it! It looks terrible and I do it in public without noticing. I don’t know if its just me, but I think its strange to see someone with their fingers in their mouth, chewing furiously.

I’ve had my share of bad habits and addictions but I think quitting the nail chewing is going to be the hardest to conquer!

I have tried this in SOOO many ways (put the disgusting-tasting-gel on, getting people to hit me when i do it, get a reward if i were to finish…) but NOTHING is working!!!

help me somebody?? any good tips??

After YEARS of trying, I’ve finally managed to kick this habit. Except now, I lick my nails when I have an urge (gross, I know) and it makes my nails really brittle. One habit for another, eh?

I’ve come up with a new method, everytime I have an urge to chew my nails I bite my finger and I stop every time. Just have to get used to the stares. lol

Ive actually managed to resist chewin them but now I get all this gunk underneath them, its so annoyin, but they look really pretty now their long and i can always clean them I suppose.

I always say 2 myself that Im not gonna do it but I cant help it. I even buy that stuff that tastes horrible but then it made my food tatse horrible cos it tranferred, i cant win. Then i decided that if my nails look nice i mite resist so i bought stuff like manicure set and sum nice nail polish – doesnt work.
