I know I need to learn to speed read, but I suffer from depression so I tend to put things off. I would love to make my brain sharper an learn to speed read, if possible, 1,000 words a minute at a minimum.

I learned how to speed read some time bac- I practiced it when studying for a whole slew of tests. It comes in handy when studying. The problem is- once you learn to do it you do it all the time. I really have to try to make a book I’m enjoying last any length of time. :P

Free Speed Reading Exercises 6 months ago

I was really into this for a while. I was upset with the insane price for eye exercises. I decided to build my own and it helped me out a lot. I am offering them for free on this website. No gimmicks and nothing to sell. It’s all free. Check it out:

I am only topping off at 500 wpm and think I can do better. My wife is blazing fast. She reads about 800wpm. Thats like one paperback book a night before bed.

Making your eyes hurt, 1 lesson at a time 7 months ago

I started the EyeQ program. So far I can honestly say that I see results. I can understand why they say to just do 1 lesson a day though, in the beginning your eyes hurt a bit from the strain. But like any muscle in the body, you gotta work it out to improve.

About to head to the library to grab Breakthrough Rapid Reading by Peter Kump. The reviews for it on Amazon look promising enough.

Resources and materials? 7 months ago

Hi all, I would really love to improve my WPM which I think would greatly help with school and all the classics/texts/plain-old-boring-books that I would love to get through quickly. I have tried two books, both of which were absolutely no help at all, If anyone has any info on resources (e.g. audios, websites, books, etc) or reviews please share them, I would greatly appreciate it! BTW, I have been hearing a lot about spreeder.com, anyone have some info or perhaps a review- good or bad? Thanks!
