make my own stuffed animal

Yesterday I picked up this project again. I had finished the steps of preparation. I needed to use the sewing machine—something which I had never done. It was more difficult than I expected. However, most difficult was determining how the pieces of fabric fit together.

The head of my terry cat is complete. I believe that sewing the body will be easier. It is only a matter of when I am able to return to it.

I am making a terry cat from polar fleece. I chose the pattern a few days ago, asked for sewing assistance yesterday, and began the project today.

Progress includes:
1. Printing and cutting out the pattern.
2. Pinning the fabric.
3. Cutting out the pattern from the fabric.
4. Marking important points with different colors of thread.

It is a strange project for me. However, I am enjoying it. Today has been the best day I have had in months.
