Though the focus has changed to music. (and will mean I’ll need to rewrite all my extensive goal lists on the list of bests site) I’m going back to music and doing expressive arts stuff for fun. I’ve made a decision and discovered my passion. I have a gut feeling about this. I’d like to continue with grad school or do something to further my education in music. I’ve been studying with the same teacher for nearly 8 years and I’d like some different experiences and a different teacher… though the one I have is great. I’m trying to decide if grad school is the best option, but I think it is.. This question is all a matter of when…I’m not sure if I can make the December 1st deadline or if I’m ready this year.

California institute of Integral studies
(http://www.ciis.edu/about/)): I can definitely see myself here and I like the school’s philosophy and the expressive arts program looks pretty neat. The thing is I want to get out of California…Maybe getting out of southern California is good enough, but I’d really like to try back east.
(in San Francisco, application deadline February 1st)
ISIS-Canada: http://www.isis-canada.org/html/: This school seems really neat too and their program is well rounded and I’ll be able to explore all disciplines. I know this is a very reputable program. This school also has a good focus on creative writing therapy. There’s also a really neat study abroad program at another Grad School in Switzerland and I checked out the program there and I loved what I read so far. However, I just read that they do not have scholarships so that scares me just a bit, especially since it’s rather expensive. If there’s internships or something like that then I may apply: (In Toronto, rolling applications from January to Summer)
Lesley University
(http://www.lesley.edu/offcampus/term/nmagss_express_lic.html): This is actually my top choice. I’m just concerned about my last semester grades which were not so great. One of my overall feelings is that I’m not good enough for this school but I really like the program and would like to challenge myself to become good enough. I could really see myself in both the university and the city
(in Cambridge, deadline February 1st.)
Expressive Arts Therapy at Appalachian State University (http://ced.appstate.edu/departments/hpc/programs/expressive_arts/htm_files/philosophy.htm)
(Rolling admissions-February-fall)
San Diego University for Integrative Studies (http://www.sduis.edu/)
This is another option. Not my top choice but it still looks pretty neat and it’s very affordable.
(year-round rolling admissions)
There are a few other places that I’m still looking into and that I did not mention but that I’m interested in applying to perhaps.
