I’ve been keeping the lists of words in the books I’m reading and in my planner, but I need to get into a routine with looking up the meanings and putting them in the word journal. So, still working on it. I won’t mark this as done until I’ve established a routine with it.
I’ve started making a note of the words I do not know in the back of the book I’m reading, but I’m not sure how I’m going to go about making a word journal from it. I want to collect the words I’m not familiar with, get their definitions and hopefully learn some new and useful words in the process.
I’m thinking I could keep them all in a nice notebook, write them all down by hand. However, they wouldn’t be in any order and I wouldn’t be able to search for them should I need to for whatever reason. Creating some sort of an index would be a complicated process…unless I did it on the computer?
I’m going to have to think about how I’m going to do this a bit more.
i thought it might be a good idea to start this up again. I did this for many years and would research old books and dictionaries looking for interesting or lost words, now that i’m doing this for a living it is probably a good idea to start this up again.
