jane give away what you lack
usually the building has some lovely architecture, there’s beautiful nature all around, and you get a quickie education about wine making. There are also some places that give a wine tasting course over an afternoon, which helps you to be more discerning and appreciative of the nuances of flavor and scent going on. I enjoyed it. It was fun to do with my family, but might have been better to do with a boyfriend if I’d had one. The setting is really quiet and romantic.
Oh, and there are usually great restaurants all around the winery and sometimes part of the winery.

this a couple of times now, but the one I went on yesterday was by far the best. We went in quite a large group (about 25 people) down to the Margaret River in Western Australia. The tour took us to a handful of beautiful boutique wineries, a gourmet chocolate shop and the ‘Bootleg Brewery’ for lunch. All in all it was a fantastic day, I bought a few bottles of vino for the Christmas season and a few christmas presents from the chocolate shop. The Margaret River region is spectacular – highly recommended!

when the tour leader takes you into the fields and the bird-bangers go off. They are so loud! Maybe it is a tactic to make the wine-tasting session so much nicer because it is quiet!
