Cinque Terre “le terre del sogni” -7a…
“it was a long hard road, but we got there.”
Avittorio sent me this card as part of his “give 43T” goal. It was from his recent trip to Italy. I love the stamp he used on it, which was part of the USA Building A Nation series.

Amania states that she doesn’t think this is the most beautiful postcard, but I disagree. Looking at the colorful buildings and the cloudy skies, I think it’s quite beautiful and unlike anything I encounter here in the States.

ME-2 MT. EVANS AND ECHO LAKEDENVER MOUNTAIN PARKS, COLORADO
The pine circled Echo Lake, (elevation 10,600 ft.) is seen here shortly after climbing from Echo Lake Lodge. The road continues to beautiflu summit Lake and to the top of lofty Mt. Evans (altitude 14,260ft.)
TG sent me this while on a mini-vacation with his daughter while he had his broken leg in August. Please note that the typo in the spelling of “beautiful” is exactly what was printed on the card, not a typo of my own doing.

Experience the natural beauty of a blackwater swamp at Cypress Gardens.
Thanks Susan for this wonderful card. I had visited Cypress Gardens in Florida when I was a child, but this is a completely different Cypress Gardens from what I was familiar with. This is a botanical garden in a swamp. My Cypress Gardens closed in 2009.

BIG THICKET National Preserve
19401 Big Thicket National Preserve is a blend of many different habitats controlled by variations in soil, elevation, and water availability.
I received this postcard from TG last month and am just now scanning it. This was TG’s first vacation of the year, and he remarked on how diverse biologically this area was compared to other parts of Texas.

The Aon Center was completed in 1973, with 83 floors and a height of 1,136 feet; it is the third tallest building in Chicago, surpassed in height by the Willis Tower and the Trump Tower.

TechKat visit Chicago back in August. She said she wasn’t used to the glitz of the big city, but enjoyed it. That’s great because Chicago is my favorite city to visit.

Port of Spain, Trinidad
Triniprincess sent me this card back in October. She notes that these buildings weren’t here five years ago, and she wonders what the next five years will bring for this city which is being groomed to be the business capital of the Caribbean.

MOSQUITO RANGE, SOUTH PARK, COLORADO.
A view from the top of Mount Silverheels toward the west shows Mt. Bross (14,172 feet) on the left, Mt. Cameron in the center, and to the right, Mt. Lincoln (14,286 feet).
I received this card from TG back in August. I’ve finally got access to a good scanner again so I’m going to be playing catch up for all the cards from the past couple of years.

Welcome to DFA Cache Valley Cheese Plant in Beaver, Utah. Cheese was first produced here in the late 1940’s and is still made fresh daily. Many people make this one of their stops while traveling through southern Utah to purchase our famous Longhorn, Minihorn, New Cheddar and three flavors of squeaky Curd.

Got this card from TG in October. He was on his way to meet NevadaGirlAmber the next day. He didn’t like the sound of “squeaky cheese from Beaver”, but liked it. Squeaky cheese is actually a favorite of mine.

I got a beautiful postcard from Wisconsin. Another one from Julettsey. I have to say that Eagle Bluff Lighthouse looks very inspiring and I can only image how beautiful it is in the Summer time. I have never been to a lighthouse before, but if I was in Wisconsin, I would have to definitely check this place out. I love to be around any body of water.
Thank you again, Julettasey for helping me with my goal!!

I got my 6th post card from Mumbai, India. It was from MPR_8. It was lovely. I can’t wait to show the Cowboy’s girls. I saw him on April 6th -8th, but he didn’t have them, so I will have to show them the next time I see them. They are sure to be excited to see what I got from India. I know they will recognize who it is! I am going to show them on the map, where it came from.
Thanks you MPR_8! You will get a picture of two smiling girls holding the post card, as soon as I see them next.

Lovely news! I got two more hits from fellow 43Thingers to help me accomplish this goal. It is even more lovely that one person is sending me 2 postcards, because she lives in one state and works in another. I don’t know if that would count toward my goal or not, but I am going to register it as such.
So, I have 4 post cards coming my way. I can’t wait! And I have two post cards that I need to send out.
This is so great!! 2 years ago

I was contacted by a fellow 43Thinger about wanting to help me achieve my goal. I was excited. So we exchanged addresses. He asked me if I was wanting a special type of postcard. I told him anything from his town and country, as I was planning on showing the Cowboy’s little girls where it came from as an educational project for them.
I am excited about doing this goal once again. Now, I have to get a huge world map, so I can find the town and the Country when it comes. 2 years ago
