get rid of all the clutter

Now that the garage and basement are done, and most of my room and the kitchen, this is done!

Still no help from my friend….

For the past two weeks my friend has been telling me he was going to help me with the garage and basement and he keeps backing out, he’s supposed to come over tomorrow…we’ll see I guess….

I did a really good job on last minute cleaning before my friend came over yesterday, but I still have a lot more to do, and since my job hates me, I have two weeks to do it with only working one day starting tomorrow. I work next Thursday and then that’s it. With all that time off I should be able to do a lot of cleaning, and well since college starts soon too, I just hope I can get it all done.

Well now that Christmas is over, and the rest of the holiday season is almost over, we don’t have as much in the house. Because of course my friends, well most of them, got their gifts, and my brother and sister-in-law took their’s home with them. We just have to get the out of state packages out of here and the place will start looking better. We need to get things packed up that we won’t be needing. Since next week I only work one day, I think I might ask a few friends to come by and help me tackle the garage and basement so that will be done and cleaned and boxed up and everything. My mom did a great job on her desk since we got her that new computer. So the living room is looking really good. Now we just need to get the tree down and move everything back in it’s original spot.

Since Christmas is coming up, we’ve gone through a lot of wrapping paper, which is really good since there’s a whole big huge box of it sitting in my room just taking up space. Yesterday alone, I finished up two rolls of paper. I still have like a million gifts to wrap, especially because we just got back from shopping and buying my brother 6 games, I have three shirts for my brother to wrap, a dvd for my sister-in-law, and a bunch of other stuff for some friends to wrap. I really think I’m going to use up a few more rolls of paper.

I have another goal to sell at least twenty things on half.com, and so far I have sold seven. I might set an even higher one to thirty-five things before I move instead so I can really get out a lot of stuff. But with college ending soon, I’ll be putting six books online, so if those sell, I’ll be so happy. That and I have to clean out all my folders, binders, and notebooks.

The cleaning is coming along, but it’s pretty slow with me working full time and with going to class all the time. This Monday I have class, but I don’t work, and then Tuesday I’m off from everything, and then I work at 3 on Wednesday. Thursday I work and have class, and Friday I work, but I have Saturday off, which is pretty cool. Then I think I have Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday off the next week, which would be so freaking amazing, I’ll get so much cleaning done! I’m rambling on, but it’s cool.

My mom and I have started cleaning out things like crazy. She had a week off from work last week and was doing lots of cleaning, and well of course every chance that I get I’m trying to clean out stuff. We actually got rid of a lot of stuff over the past few weeks. We still have a lot more to go through, but we’re making progress. Our goal is to get all of our stuff from the basement and put it into our garage so we can have it all upstairs when we find a new place to move to. Sounds like a good plan to me :).

since we’re looking for a new house, my intentions are going through everything, and I mean everything, and putting the stuff we don’t need in boxes to have a huge yard sale, an everything must go sale, and whatever we don’t sell, I’m taking to the Salvation Army.

I went through a bunch of old boxes and bags in my room and got rid of a lot of stuff, I was really proud of myself! Now I just need to do that in every single room of this house and keep it that way!

I just gave my dad a bunch of old monitors that were lying around in the basement and in the garage so that helped. I threw away a bunch of other stuff too. Things are looking a bit better.
