MissJanae is setting goals!
Small farms and business’ are the foundation of strong societies. Every civilization that had a strong moral base and so strong government lived on farms and owned their own business. I want to bring rural america back.
So I want to have a small farm that is very close to self sustainable and could be if need be.
I want to have barns and animals, and fields that people can come and work on and learn from.
Donkey, chickens, goats, rabbits, dogs, cats. Things that provide food, protection, fiber, and fun.
I want to have a big garden and a field for the animals and a barn that is well built but not extravagant. We will of course start out small but eventually move towards something bigger. Maybe at first it will just be some animals with a yurt and garden. And then someday a cabin with more animals.
Of course we’ll have to get some land for this too. Preferably mountain land. Has to have good solid seasons, not a warm climate.
To prepare for this I’ll probably have to go learn from people who already have a farm.
This is going to be generational. People can live a “hunter gatherer ” lifestyle but it can’t be passed on to grandchildren. I want to build something that is going to last long after I am gone.
