get a promotion at work

O.K. I work in a resturant si its pretty much work your way thru the ranks but my biggest problem is I dont really know how to play the game.I mean hard work will only get you so far and ass kissing gets you the rest of the way but I guess i can try to learn to kiss ass

I had my interview today and they already called me back to hire me – I start in two weeks! I’m so excited!

I have an interview on MONDAY for a position that is most definitely a promotion. It would work out to be about a $500 per month raise – I would finally feel comfortable again. Wish me luck! :D

Even though economically, times are tough (especially in the Sacramento area) – I know it is still possible for me to promote in the agency where I work. I’ve already submitted two applications and I have two more that I’ve filled out and will be turning in this week sometime. The jobs I have applied for aren’t my dream jobs or anything (and actually I LIKE my current job) but I have to work my way up and wade the red tape of government work to get to where I want. I’m hoping to have this goal complete in the next 6 weeks.

I was kinda of curious when he pulled me out of the office but I knew it was probably going to be good news. And it was! He said that I’ve improved so much and I’m one of the best agents he’s had. He said he understood my intentions of being a cop and that I may leave the company to pursue law enforcement, but would like to train me to be a manager anyway. I have to wait ‘til January to start the senior agent program but I’m really excited that my hard work is paying off.

Had an excellent performance review and am now under consideration for a bonus. I’m so happy!

and still want to quit, but i am an addict to those green backs.

well technically the cat is already in the bag, but it never hurts to do a lil forward thinking to smooth things over. hehe. project cordinator here i come… good bye annoying phones… i think it will be so much more relaxing, well less push my buttons in that corner office. i can listen to some tunes while being a wiz on the data entry and vendor cordinating… the only thing i really worry about is the accounting, but Robyn is helping me, and i am learning to breathe. as for the guys (meaning=construction workers) forget about it. still got to learn approach. still have to do what i am currently doing, which means double duty right now, but heh i come in early i stay late. shrugs. gotta cut out the goofing off online though. thats bad… but i am not in an authoritarian position yet. so till then… though i have cut back by more than half. i still read all the news stuff and did ya kno… cuz i can’t help it i like reading informing stuff.

my next project i want to maybe put my eyes on superintendent position… i think it would be neat and its big money. plus it would get me out of the office. down side, you have to actually know how to build stuff. that’s ok, i’m learning and i like doing that kinda stuff… but when its a million + job ya can’t just be screwin around. thats a lot of money to be blowin cuz you don’t know how to keep things to scale.

ok maybe maybe i would like to work as a project manager… but they sure do talk on their phones a lot, and i hate phones. so till then. heh… im out.
