This is a goal that has eluded me for some time. I have well and truely gotten out of the habit of writing. Consistancy is the main thing.

For the next 30 days I will count any lengthy writing that is done on any of my current sites. I’m not sure if I should include entries on 43 Things or not. On the one hand its all writing and its all getting me back into a writing frame of mind. On the other hand, counting entries on Things seems somehow like cheating. I think I’ll count Thing entries, but frown at myself very strongly if that’s all I write on a particular day.

My Point, And I Do Have One... 2 years ago

And my point with this Thing is that I need to knuckle-down and get serious about my writing again. A thousand words a day isn’t that hard – particularly when its non-fiction. Personal blogging or journals, however, doesn’t count for this Thing.

I’m aiming, for preference, to write either a single 1000 word article (non-fiction) or two 500 word articles (non-fiction) per day. I will probably get bored doing the same type of thing every day though, so I am willing to include any progress on any of the works of fiction I have in various stages of dis-repair on various hard drives.
