buy a good bbq grill

my husband mentioned our need for a better grill. Maybe we’ll look next time we go to Home Depot or some other place like that.

about putting my credit card away for the rest of the month. Then, I went to the store (where I paid cash) and saw the grills ON SALE!!! I stayed strong and resisted the urge to buy. I still want a good grill but the goal of reducing debt is much higher on the list of priorities right now.

The prices are dropping already. I don’t mind buying a grill at the end of summer if I can get a great deal on it!

it just means bigger than what we have now.

and the burgers were fantastic. However, my husband did agree that if we were going to cook larger foods like steaks, brisket, ribs, etc., we would definitely need a bigger grill. ;)

on the camping grill. I think my husband thinks we don’t actually need a new grill. We’ll see how it goes…

is a camping grill and that is not going to be adequate for the type and quantity of grilling I want to do this summer! I’m thinking steaks, hamburgers…and I don’t plan to cook them one at a time!

As I predicted, Bass Pro Shop put the grill I wanted on sale last Monday. I picked it up on Thursday and saved $30. Yesterday I assembled everything (had to purchase 15 metric bolts at Home Depot, because they were missing from the parts package). Today, I’ll load it with charcoal, fire it up, season the cast iron grills with Crisco, and use it this evening to barbecue lamb and vegetables. This will make such a difference throughout the rest of spring and into summer/fall. We really enjoy food cooked over charcoal, and as you can see in the photo, this grill is a big step up. Our old grill is the one on the right.

I fully intended to buy the BBQ grill this weekend, but several “signs” convinced me to wait. First, the barrel grill I thought I was going to buy was out of stock at the shop that advertised it on sale. Then, our Sunday dinner guests cancelled because one was sick (it was to be our first use of the new grill). Lastly, I found another grill I really like, the Kingsford 3000 (pictured), at Bass Pro Shop, but unlike many of the other models there, it was not on sale. I’m hoping the price will be discounted in the next week or so. One way or another, I will have a new grill by Cinco de Mayo.
