if I took a photo or not, but if I did it’s at home so I’ll have to add it later. I didn’t make all my cards – work colleagues etc got the last few store-bought ones – but I made cards for my dad, brother, aunts and uncle. They were simple but pretty with matching envelopes and little Christmas stickers inside. Next year I’ll start earlier and make more elaborate ones.

The cards are in a matchbook style with the fold along the top and then a about 1/2” folded up on the bottom, inside piece. I stapled a picture of the two of us with “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year From…” printed on the bottom of the photo on the inside of the card. They look awesome.
The envelopes are stuffed, addressed and stamped. I ran the envelopes through the printer. I used to think that was cheating, but who cares?
I’m waiting until December to mail them. This is the VERY FIRST TIME I’ve ever been this early in finishing my cards! There are 36 of them (if I didn’t forget anybody).

Okay… I’ve already got my Christmas cards designed. I’ve even cut the cardstock for the exterior. I just have to cut out little trees and the snow I want to glue on. And, I want to print the interiors, and I’m debating on including a picture of the two of us.
Can I get my act together well enough to actually get these made!? I think my goal will be to have them ready to assemble over Thanksgiving Day weekend. Shesh! Wish me luck. I feel like I need it!
UPDATE I stopped everything I was doing and cut out all the trees and snow I needed yesterday. Then, I pop-dotted the trees off the card bases and glued on the snow. So, at least the exteriors of the cards are finished (though I might have to make more) – I did all of this while talking on the phone for an hour with my mom! Now I just need to get the insides printed and decide whether or not to add a photo.
I guess I’ll address envelopes over Thanksgiving weekend, and have these ready to mail at the BEGINNING of December. Wow! That’s never happened before.
